Thanks to a a generous gift from Genesis Cancer Care Institute, we are proud to offer for the third year, Camp Genesis. A resident camp experience brought to you through a partnership with Genesis Cancer Care Institute, Gilda’s Club of the Quad Cities, and the Scott County Family Y. Located at YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln, Camp Genesis is a camp experience for those families who have been affected by cancer. The camp runs from July 10-16, 2011.
If you know of a child who has someone in their family who has cancer, this camp is designed just for them. They will grow with self-confidence and independence and gain a community of friends who are going through similar situations. Check-in will be from 2:00pm-3:00pm on Sunday, July 10th. Check out will be on July 16th, we invite all to join us for a breakfast starting at 9:00am and we will conclude by 10:30am. Parents will be invited to attend a mid-week parent night at Genesis Health System on July 13th at 6:00pm. Join us to learn about what your kids have been doing while they have been at camp thus far.
