Overnight Camps

The Resident Camp program at YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln is a world where imagination comes alive!  Campers spend a magical week participating in their choice of daily activities while making friends and creating lasting memories on Camp Abe Lincoln’s beautiful 250 acres. Activities include canoeing, archery, alpine tower, drama, nature, arts and crafts, sports, swimming, disc golf, rock climbing, and many more.

Our progressive programs allow for new skill orientation each year a camper returns to camp with specialized activities for each age group.  Camp Abe Lincoln’s unique and exciting evening activities are bursting with energy.  Games such as Capture the Flag, Swim Under the Lights, Camp Carnival, Ga-Ga, and Wild and Crazy Kids make fantasy a reality, while building camper teamwork and leadership skills.  No week at Camp Abe Lincoln is complete without the traditional campfires, songs, night hikes, and Camp Outs.

Traditional Resident Camp    Ages 8-14

Our traditional resident camp program is what we are best known for in the area.  We provide resident camp programming for campers ages 6-14.  Campers stay in cabins with other campers of the same gender and similar age range.  During the week, campers will have the opportunity to create their own adventure.  There are individual activity periods where campers can choose which activities they really want to focus on; archery, arts and crafts, canoes, etc., and participate in those every day.  There are also activities that the cabin will engage in as a group; trail rides, volleyball games, star gazing, etc.

In the evening, the entire camp community will gather for a group activity.  Campfires, wet and wild activities, and night swim in our newly renovated pool are just a few.

Your child's safety is our first, second and third concern.  We will make sure your child has an experience in adventure and character development without risking the physical or emotional safety of your child. Give your child the experience to grow with a week of resident camp.

Two Week Resident Camp     Ages 10-14    July 14-26

For the second year in a row, Camp Abe Lincoln will be offering two week resident camp.  This camp is two weeks straight and is a great getaway experience for oursenior campers.  Your camper

will come to camp on a Sunday and stay for two straight weeks.  They will engage in traditional camp activities but will also have the opportunity to camp out by our lake, climb our 50 foot Alpine Tower, and much more.  On the weekend, campers will be camping at an off-site facility to get the feeling of camping in a new place.

The two weeks that your child will have at camp will give them the chance to build even stronger relationships with their cabin mates that one week campers are just not able to do. If your camper is ready for the next step, this is the camp for them.
